What is a Business Affiliate? Affiliate is a form of business cooperation where we act as “intermediary or liaison” between the providers of products or services with their costumers. If one or more of these costumer transactions through you, then you as an affiliate received compensation in the form of commissions or fees from your sales. Indeed, many online business people consider affiliate business is not easy and takes time to get results.

In general there are three types or kinds of business affiliate program:

• Pay Per Sale program, by joining through this type we would get a commission in accordance with the number of products or services that we managed to sell through our referral link.
• Pay Per Lead program, by joining through this type we would get a commission in accordance with the number of people who fill out the form (field), surveys, or signing up for services provided.
• Pay Per Click programs, by joining through the type we would get a commission in accordance with the number of referral click on the link provided by the merchant to us.

There are strengths and a weakness of each type, the easiest to make money is a Pay Per Click program, but get a little money. By contrast than Pay Per Sale, the most difficult to find buyers, but the commission also quite a lot. You decide which one to choose.

Now the question is how do I choose a suitable affiliate business for you to do? Here are some suggestions or tips from me:

• Relevance: Find a business affiliate program that matches the theme of your website or blog. Suppose you have a blog with the theme of health will be better then your affiliate business related to health.
• Quality and Stability: Choose affiliate programs from companies of good reputation. One of them can be seen from the length of their age, and the number of affiliate marketers or member who has registered. Also, consider whether they have a special contact support to deal with your complaint.
• Commission: Choose affiliate programs that give high commissions and provides freedom in making commissions, both from the method of payment and payment frequency. Also would be better if you select an affiliate program that provides lifetime commissions or lifetime commission that created the consumer does work thanks you, the consumer become yours forever.
